Storymaker Workshop (ages 7-11) with The Story Works
The Story Works presents their Storymaker Workshop for all budding young storytellers (ages 7-11) in Grade II* Upton House. Our budding authors will discover the building blocks to make a story and work together to come up with an idea for a short piece of writing. Working together participants will build the start of the story before a short lunch break (please supply your own refreshments or order a lunch bag from the Tea Rooms at 10% discount, please see below). After refreshments our writers can finish the story as a group or individually, or even work on their own new piece of original writing!
After the workshop has finished The Story Works will illustrate the story and email pdf booklets to each of the parents or guardians for your continued enjoyment.
Though this workshop is FREE, spaces are limited, so please be sure to book ahead! We look forward to hearing our young storytellers fantastic finished stories in their own wonderful words.
Please pack some snacks and refreshments, water will be available. You can also pre-order a lunch bag put together by our Tea Rooms team with a 10% discount. Please indicate on the booking form if you would like us to send you more information.
All parents or guardians MUST complete a consent form for each child to allow them to enjoy this event. Forms will be emailed to you after you have booked tickets, they will also be available to complete on the day if you do not have a printer. This form will ask for your emergency contact details and any relevant medical or support requirements for your child.
It is recommended that you stay in Upton Country Park during the event. You are welcome to visit our Tea Rooms for refreshments and take advantage of a 10% discount offer – please ask us for a voucher when you complete the consent form.
